INTRODUCTION

Hello everyone.
In this blog, I will present you mainly articles about two main theme: old forgotten games and horror games; that's why I named this blog Game Grave.

I actually made this blog for educational purpose that I am taking Blog Writing class, but I will take the advantage of the course and improve my blogging skills. However, I work on this blog not only to "entertain" the instructor and my classmates, but also all the readers and the visitors of this blog.

Unfortunately, the class doesn't go really well as we plan because of the Covid-19 pandemic; we, therefore,  must learn individually from the materials that the course instructor's provide us via internet.

Here is what I found:
So the course instructor sent us a pdf version (I think it is from a printed book or something, because it has table of content, aha) of The Ultimate Guide to Blogging published by Content Marketing Institute. The content provides the readers practical guides for both beginner or experienced bloggers from the preparation before creating a blog, until what to do after you finish on your blog. I think the topic of the book is about the guide to blogging for business/marketing purpose.

The book is not just about tips based on experience or logic, the book provides results of research. This kind of guide is really needed to master because nowadays there so many blogs out there, the book mentioned that blog is for almost everyone.

The new thing in this book that I found in terms of preparation for blogging is that we must "have a personality". I think it is more likely to "be yourself" because I learn from YouTube video bloggers that some of them were hated because they didn't be themselves, they acted just to please their viewers instead of being who they really were (sorry, the example is from video blog because I rarely read weblogs).

The book is very useful, the book provides us several post types, such as "how to", narrative, sectioned posts, monologue-style video, and lists.

Like what I have mentioned before, the process doesn't end when you have finished and posted your blog; the book provides 12 things to do after you've written a new blog spot. I really love this part because it feels like a strategy to me on taking the advantage of other media in making our blog "pop up" among people. However, there is one thing that I need to learn more; it is the SEO. I guess that is my "homework" for now.

Anyway, I really miss the regular class, because it is easier for me in understanding when I discuss face to face with friends and the lecturers instead of independent and online learning. I hope the pandemic will end very soon. For everyone, please stay at home; do your activities at home. I know sometimes it is boring, but it is better to read a boring blog post such as Game Grave, instead of being in a real grave as the consequences of going out "illegally".
